Simplicity meets luxury in Canberra’s newest HIA NSW/ACT Renovated Bathroom of the Year
GRIFFITH BATHROOM RENOVATION
A classic home in Griffith found modern yet timeless style in a stunning bathroom renovation. The combination of quality craftsmanship and luxury materials were rewarded with the 2019 Renovated Bathroom of the Year by the Housing Industry Association.
The homeowners wanted to build a larger ensuite, with visions to create their own pocket of luxury outside their bedroom door. An entire new floorplan was created to combine the existing powder room and ensuite to form a beautiful and functional oasis.
With every aspect of the space seamlessly connecting to the next, the light-filled bathroom is stunningly minimal. Practical solutions were pivotal to maximising the small space available. Including an open shower with built-in shelves and tucked-away facilities meant no space was compromised.
Adding a custom-made Blackbutt timber vanity brought warmth to the bathroom, complimenting the monotone palette. Framed by wrap-around windows, the bathroom was complete with a Victoria and Albert freestanding bath, creating the modern yet classic bathroom that the client wanted.
With more projects to come, the winning bathroom renovation is only the beginning for this transforming home in Griffith.
A simple cool-tone colour palette brought a new level of style to the space. Among the perfect balance of tone, texture and shape, the bathroom features a mix of sleek materials and finishes. Tall white tiles covered the walls, meeting terrazzo flooring and modern black fixtures.
