Bustling family home transformed inside and out finds comfort in tailored design

JERRABOMBERRA HOME RENOVATION

A practical family wanted a home for their children and furry family members to comfortably grow into in the years to come. With a focus on functionality and value, they saw an opportunity to maximise the space available on their extensive block in Jerrabomberra and transform a house into their forever home.

From the moment you step inside this newly renovated home, to when you finally reach the backyard, it is clear every room has been designed purposefully.  This home has been built to enjoy. As a family with young teenagers, lively pets and a bustling schedule, the owners wanted to utilise the space available on the generous block and create a lasting forever home. A complete renewal of the interior made room for three additional bedrooms, a pet room, a dedicated mudroom and a revived kitchen, laundry and living space.

An adjusted floorplan meant this two-story home could give family members space, yet also provide a space for them to come together. The living room, centred with a stunning fireplace with custom joinery forms the perfect space for the family to retreat and unwind.

Using soft tones inspired by the iconic Hampton style, the kitchen featured a mixture of modern finishes. Simple joinery met stunning blonde timber flooring, flowing onwards to the remainder of the home.

Windows were replaced throughout with double-glazed aluminium glass, making this rejuvenated home more energy-efficient than ever before. 

Outside, framed with stone walls and travertine pavers, a gazebo was built, creating the perfect space to entertain.

This project was an extensive renovation. Vdara worked closely with the client through the entire build process to ensure all build decision provided the desired outcomes. 

Initially overwhelmed by the prospect of a monstrous renovation, the client was left with a stunningly functional, with the built purpose - a home to fit for all family members.
